| Abstract | This short plenary report will present how Chuo University has supported SMILE Projects since 2020. We began in 2021 with two projects involving two teachers, and in 2025, six faculties with eight professors are involved, with the university supporting the project first as a research project and then as an education project. We now plan to invite more faculty and establish a university committee to continue providing all interested students with genuine opportunities to meet non-Japanese students with different cultural and linguistic backgrounds online with minimal financial burden. The gradual development so far and our plan will be presented, and how other institutions may pursue this kind of innovative project will be discussed. |
